I am so sorry for lack of posting. And lack of themes. So I’m helping my friend with a custom theme for her roleplay and this is basically one of the rejected ideas. It’s a little more complex with a number of customizations available.

Please “reset defaults” and refresh before making any customizations and this will hopefully lower the number of problems. Feel free to customize however much you want, the more the better, but leave credits intact. It would also be great if you could ‘like’ this post if using the theme.

FEATURES

  • Many more customize options than I normally have.
  • Four tabbed sidebar sections with various sidebar image placements.
  • Option for either 400px or 500px width posts.
  • Space for 12 sorted custom links. More can be added by editing the HTML.

CANVAS GRAPHIC PREPARATION TUTORIAL

People keep asking for graphic tips, textures, advice (even after I posted a resource post along with some advice) and I finally gave in and decided to do a tutorial. This is will probably be my ONLY graphic tutorial because, just like I’ve said to the past 384783 people who’ve asked, my method is TRIAL AND ERROR. No tricks. No short cuts. No fancy tools (unless you count the eye drop tool. Tons of textures. Tons of time. Tons and tons of patience. I’ve done this enough times now that I know how some textures work with others, or what textures give the effect I want, but even then I still struggle and cry and complain and bang my fists. Hours and hours of this. I have enough experience to know that it takes time and many many shitty graphics (or gifs for those magical gif makers) before you finally grasp the concept of textures and coloring and the whole general concept of GRAPHICS. PRACTICE. Some of you might already know this, and that’s fine. Cool. Thumbs up. But this is a tutorial for the basics of my method which i’m 100% sure you’ve seen before.

IF YOU EXPECT ME TO TEACH YOU HOW TO DO THE ENTIRE THEON CAP ABOVE STEP BY STEP THEN LOOK ELSEWHERE. IT’S IMPOSSIBLE. 

I’m going to show you what I do for about 80% of the graphics I make before I go nuts with textures. It’s really simple. It’s really easy. It’s really helpful and most important of all, it gives you a lot of freedom.
